Privacy notice

What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. Each section opens with a plain English line. That line is a summary, not the clause.

Last updated 13 October 2026 · Version 1

Each section below opens with one line in plain English. It is there so the page can actually be read. The clause under it is the part that is binding, and where the two differ, the clause wins.

1. Who we are

In plain English: who is responsible for your information, and how to reach us.

Push 4 Marketing (“we”, “us”) is a digital marketing agency based at Cotton Exchange, Bixteth Street, Liverpool L3 9LQ. We decide how and why the personal information described in this notice is used, which makes us its controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

For anything about your personal information, email hello@push4marketing.com, call 07534 526572, or write to us at the address above.

2. What this notice covers

In plain English: this is about our website and our dealings with you. It is not about data we handle for clients.

This notice covers personal information we collect through push4marketing.com, through our enquiry, audit and guide download forms, and when you contact us by email or phone. It also covers the business contact details of people at the businesses we work with.

When we work on a client’s marketing, we sometimes handle personal information on that client’s behalf, for example their customers’ details in an advertising or analytics account. In that case the client is the controller and we act as their processor. That work is covered by our agreement with that client and the client’s own privacy notice, not by this one.

3. What we collect

In plain English: your name, email, business, website and phone if you give them, plus the usual website analytics.

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site we collect what you enter: your name, email address and business name and, depending on the form, your website address, phone number and message. On the guide download forms we also record which guide you asked for and whether you ticked the box to receive marketing tips. If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence and any notes of the conversation.

Information that travels with a form. Each form also records how you reached it: the page you landed on, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, and a reference number for the submission. If you have accepted advertising cookies, it also records the Google or Meta click identifier in the link. We use this to see which of our marketing brought the enquiry in.

Information collected as you browse. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, time on page, the type of device and browser, and approximate location to town or city level, linked to an identifier stored in a cookie. Our host and security software log IP addresses to keep the site running and protect it from attack. If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel records page views and form submissions so we can measure our adverts.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health details, and we ask that you do not include it in a form or message.

4. How we collect it

In plain English: you give us some of it. The rest the site collects as you use it.

Directly from you, when you fill in a form, email us, call us or meet us.

Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies as you use this site. The cookie notice explains each one.

From other sources, where that applies: aggregated reports from Google and Meta about how our adverts perform, and public information such as your website, Google Business Profile and Companies House entry when we prepare an audit you have asked for.

5. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

In plain English: to answer your enquiry, to run the website, and to send you things you asked for.

To reply to your enquiry, and to prepare an audit or proposal you asked for. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

To deliver the work once you are a client, including invoicing and record keeping. Lawful basis: contract, and legal obligation for tax and accounting records.

To send you a guide you requested. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in providing what you asked for.

To send you marketing tips by email, only if you ticked the box. Lawful basis: consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.

To understand how the site is used and improve it, using Google Analytics. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a useful website. For visitors in the UK, analytics cookies are set under the exception for statistical purposes added to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. We do not use this data for advertising, and you can turn it off at any time.

To measure our advertising and show adverts to people who have visited, using the Meta Pixel and, in future, Google Ads. Lawful basis: consent, given through the cookie banner.

To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights and what you would reasonably expect. You can object at any time, as section 9 explains.

6. Who we share it with

In plain English: our suppliers, and nobody else. We do not sell anything.

We share personal information only with suppliers who help us run the business, and only what each one needs to do its job:

Website hosting: BigScoots, which hosts this website and the database where form submissions are stored.
Website software and email delivery: WordPress, Elementor, Fluent Forms and Site Mailer, which run the site and its forms and send form notifications to our inbox.
Spam and security: Akismet, which checks form submissions for spam, and Wordfence, which protects the site from attack.
Email: our email provider, which holds our inbox.
Analytics: Google, through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Advertising: Meta, through the Meta Pixel, and Google Ads in future, only if you accept advertising cookies.
Brief builder: our project brief tool runs on Base44, a separate app. If you use it, what you enter is stored there.
Maps and fonts: Google Maps, embedded on our contact page, and Google Fonts. Both load from Google’s servers, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when those pages load.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose it where the law requires, for example to HMRC, and to professional advisers such as our accountant or solicitor, who are bound by a duty of confidentiality.

7. How long we keep it

In plain English: only as long as there is a reason to.

Enquiries and audit requests that do not lead to work: up to 2 years from our last contact.
Guide download requests: up to 2 years. If you opted in to marketing tips, until you unsubscribe.
Client records, contracts and invoices: 6 years after the work ends, to meet tax and accounting rules.
Google Analytics data: 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
Meta Pixel data: held by Meta under its own retention policy.
Server and security logs: short periods only, for security purposes.

At the end of each period we delete the information, or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.

8. Where it is stored

In plain English: some of our suppliers are based outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, a recognised legal safeguard covers it.

Form submissions are stored in our website database with our host, BigScoots, and copied to our email inbox. Some of our suppliers, including Google, Meta and Automattic (which runs Akismet), process data in the United States, and other suppliers may do so too.

Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on a recognised safeguard: UK adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for suppliers certified under it, or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved for use in the UK.

We protect information with restricted access, secure passwords and an encrypted (HTTPS) connection on every page of this site.

9. Your rights

In plain English: you can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy.
Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
Delete it, where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
Restrict our use of it while a concern is looked into.
Object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
Move information you gave us to another organisation, in a common format, where we use it on the basis of consent or contract.
Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our basis. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email hello@push4marketing.com. There is normally no charge. We will reply within one month, and if a request is complex we will tell you if we need up to two further months, as the law allows. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.

10. Cookies and tracking

In plain English: the short version is here. The full list is on the cookie notice.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are always on. For visitors in the UK, Google Analytics is on unless you choose Reject all or switch it off. Advertising cookies, such as the Meta Pixel, are only used if you choose Accept all or switch them on. The cookie notice lists each one, what it does and how long it lasts. You can change your choices at any time in your cookie settings.

11. Changes to this notice

In plain English: if we change it, the date at the top changes.

We review this notice when the way we use personal information changes, and at least once a year. When we change it, we update the date and version number at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly before it takes effect.

12. How to contact us, and how to complain

In plain English: write to us first. If we cannot sort it out, the ICO is the next step.

Email hello@push4marketing.com, call 07534 526572 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm), or write to Push 4 Marketing, Cotton Exchange, Bixteth Street, Liverpool L3 9LQ.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator for data protection, the Information Commission (formerly the Information Commissioner’s Office, or ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
